There are wedding venues, and then there are places that feel made for a wedding. The University Women’s Club is one of London’s quieter discoveries — a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse set on a garden square in Mayfair, with period rooms of genuine beauty, a secluded terrace garden, and a team who have been helping couples celebrate for years.

We are fully licensed for civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 60 guests seated for your ceremony, or up to 120 standing when the Library and Drawing Room are combined. The Dining Room and garden terrace, shaded by an ancient London Plane tree and softened by the sound of a water fountain, are perfect for a wedding breakfast or welcome drinks as guests arrive.

Exchange vows in the Library. Raise a glass in the Dining Room. Dine in the Drawing Room and wander out into the garden as the evening settles. The Club provides a natural sequence of spaces that makes your day feel unhurried and complete — without the need for a single marquee or a hired venue package.

Every event at the Club is dressed in classic white linen and silverware. Our in-house kitchen will work with you to create a menu that reflects your tastes, and our events team will be with you at every step — from your first conversation through to the moment your last guest leaves. Complimentary menu tasting for two, a cake stand and knife, cloakroom, and AV facilities are all included as standard. A curated list of trusted suppliers is available if you need recommendations for flowers, photography, or music.

For those who would like to stay the night, we have comfortable bedrooms available across three floors, subject to availability. En-suite rooms are particularly popular for getting ready on the morning of your day — do speak to our Events team when planning your booking.

The Club is open to non-members as well as members.
