The first thing you notice on arriving at 2 Audley Square is the fire. Whatever the season, the Lobby welcomes you in — and the extraordinary William de Morgan tiles surrounding the fireplace are worth pausing over. Their intricate Arts and Crafts beauty is a reminder that this is a building with real character, and that you are somewhere rather special.
The Bar sits just beyond, and is the natural gathering point of the Club — the place where members catch up before dinner, linger after an event, or simply stop in for a drink at the end of the day. A thoughtful selection of wines, cocktails, and specialty coffees is always on hand, along with a light menu served throughout the day and evening.
On Thursday evenings, members and their guests are invited to join us for Cocktail Hour — a relaxed and convivial gathering from 6.00pm to 7.00pm, and one of the week’s most sociable moments at the Club. It is the kind of occasion the Lobby and Bar was made for: good company, a well-made drink, and no particular reason to hurry.
The Lobby also provides lift access to our bedrooms on the upper floors, making it a natural arrival point for members and guests staying overnight.
