Club Facilities

Our Home in Mayfairsalon event

Welcome to our home in Mayfair. In a superb central location, our beautiful building and garden have a warm and quirky ambience. Not just any old club, we are unique in the UK in being wholly owned and managed by our female only members.

Whether you want to check your emails, indulge in a little networking, have a light lunch or delicious dinner, shower and change before an evening out, or just relax with friends over a cup of speciality coffee, a glass of wine or a cocktail, this is the place to be.

The Club is in easy reach of the City, theatres, art galleries, concert halls and the exclusive shopping districts of Bond Street, Knightsbridge and Sloane Street. All of our 22 bedrooms are equipped with direct-dial telephones, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and irons easily accessible. All rooms are WiFi enabled.

We have a range of beautiful rooms that members can hire for weddings and private parties. We also offer a number of meeting rooms with  all the facilities required to make your meeting run smoothly.

Drawing Room

Our Drawing Room, with wonderful hand painted walls in a Chinoiserie design, is complete with grand piano and overlooks a secluded terraced garden shaded by an old London plane tree.

In the winter, a fire burns in the elaborate fireplace, and in the summer, the French windows to the balcony are open, providing cooling breezes.

This is a wonderful place to relax with friends. Many University Women’s Club events are held here and the room can be hired by members for private parties and weddings.

Our impressive wood-panelled library was designed as a copy of the library at the Travellers’ Club. It has well stocked shelves and a view across Park Lane to Hyde Park.

A serene place to work (fully WiFi enabled), it is also an ideal place for a quiet afternoon or evening with a good book. Also, books may be borrowed, subject to being signed out.

Dining Room

Our beautiful Dining Room can be found on the ground floor with French windows opening out onto a sheltered garden.

The Club serves lunch and dinner there from Monday to Friday.

Our Chef prepares a variety of imaginative meals, with an emphasis on fresh organic ingredients, and there are always vegetarian options on offer. Special diets can be catered for with appropriate notice.

It is a charming place for dining alone, or to bring friends or business associates. Breakfast is informally served with fresh fruit and delicious home made marmalade.

In the summer, where better for a drink, lunch, or an early supper, than our beautiful garden?

With the sound of the fountain in the background, and the faint rustle of the leaves of the plane tree, it is an oasis of calm in London. It also provides a wonderful location for parties and barbeques.
