Food and Wine

The Club has an excellent resident Chef who provides delicious treats for Members to enjoy at home, as well as the 2- and 3-course meals and less formal daily Chef's Special at lunchtime, both served in the Dining Room, and the sandwiches and bar snacks served in the Bar, Reception, Library and Drawing Room.   Click here for details of the formal dining room menu and loyalty card, or select from the following list of goodies to take home:

The Club's Bar stocks a wide selection of beverages.   The carefully selected wine lists carry wines available either for purchase by the glass or bottle at the Bar, or in the Dining Room to enhance a meal at the Club or for off-sales to Members, at the Club's cost price, plus 5%, plus VAT.   Wine can be purchased by the case too, at very reasonable rates.   For special offers of wines not available on the current wine list, click here.

To place orders, please contact Reception by telephone on +44 (0) 20 7499 2268, by fax on +44 (0) 20 7499 7046 or by e-mail uwc@uwc-london.com

A recent innovation in the Dining Room is a "Chef’s Special" menu which changes daily and offers informal bistro-type dishes at £6.95.   This will be extended to dinner if it is successful in increasing the number of Members lunching at the Club.

A separate bar snack menu featuring a variety of tasty sandwiches is also available 24 hours a day, throughout the week, at a range of prices to suit all pockets.   On weekdays, this includes a range of hot meals during kitchen opening hours.   When the Dining Room is open, the bar snack menu is available in the Dining Room, in addition to the full Dining Room and Chef's Special menus.

Our Loyalty Card scheme rewards Members who are frequent users of our Dining Room à la carte menu with meal points that can be used to purchase future meals off that menu.   Request your card at Reception when you next visit, and start collecting your meal points now.   Meal points are accumulated for meals ordered and paid for at the Club.   A Loyalty Card Holder may earn meal points for meals consumed by her guests, and also for meals provided as part of broader Club events.   Points are awarded as follows:

Wine List

The wine list is in two sections: Club Choice and Connoisseur's Corner.   All the wines on the Club Choice list are available by the glass or half-bottle.   The Connoisseur's Corner will be for those who want to try something a bit more special.   It will also include some half-bottles.

The wine lists are regularly reviewed, and Members participate in the tasting sessions that form part of this review.   The Wine Tastings take place two or three times a year.   They appear in the Club Diary and all Members and their guests are welcome.
